SentimentSync vs HubSpot's native social-inbox sentiment

HubSpot scores sentiment on the social inbox, not on your support tickets. SentimentSync covers the ticket pipeline.

Winner: Different scopes

What HubSpot does natively

As checked on 29 July 2026, HubSpot’s documented sentiment feature lives in the Social Inbox for Marketing Hub Professional and Enterprise. It analyzes eligible comments and mentions as Positive, Negative, or Untagged. Threads with at least ten tagged interactions receive an aggregate score (HubSpot: monitor social sentiment).

HubSpot scopes that feature to social comments and mentions. Its documentation does not describe it as a sentiment scorer for support tickets.

HubSpot does offer a separate, general AI option in workflows. On qualifying Professional and Enterprise subscriptions, the Data Agent custom-prompt action can analyze selected record properties and feed its response into branches or property updates. That route requires HubSpot Credits and configuration; it is not the same product surface as Social Inbox sentiment (HubSpot: use Breeze to manage data in workflows).

What SentimentSync adds

SentimentSync is scoped to support tickets. It reads the subject and description when a ticket is scored and writes its result back to the ticket.

It creates four custom properties, sentiment, category, intent, and priority, so the signal can sit next to pipeline and owner. Custom properties can be added to record-index columns on all plans; workflows and the custom report builder require qualifying Professional or Enterprise subscriptions (HubSpot: customize index columns, HubSpot: create custom reports).

Which one fits

Use HubSpot’s Social Inbox sentiment when the work happens in social comments and mentions. Use a ticket-scoped approach when the work happens in the support pipeline. If you already have the required HubSpot tier and credits, compare SentimentSync with a custom Breeze workflow before choosing.
